Jeremy Nicholas in the June 2013 Gramophone at page 69 gave a strong and enthusiastic endorsement of this title calling it ". . . a tremendous concert, one to return to with or without the pictures, and a souvenir of a stunning London debut by a conductor who is going to be around for a long time leading the world's greatest orchestras." Nicholas wrote as much about what he saw and what he heard, and I think he saw the DVD — not the HDVD. The question is whether Andy Sommer was able to shoot this without falling into the swamp of DVDitis.
