This next-to-last opera from Richard Stauss is still a largely unexplored continent. The only two modern recordings are both listed on this website: (1) the 2011 Andrew Litton version and (2) subject title conducted by Welser-Möst at the 2016 Salzburg Festival. Hugo Shirley, writing in the Gramophone 2017 Awards issue (at pages 120-121) praises the music and pans the directing at Salzburg and recommends the Litton version for explorers.
Well, here's an official clip which looks pretty good to me!
