This is substantially the same team that brought us the controversial, but ultimately highly successful Werther, also staged at the Paris Opera Bastille. If the team follows the same formula, the live audience will get a sumptuous traditional version of La Traviata. The home theater audience will get all that plus movie-like realism in acting and inventive camera work that shows things more intimately than the live audience could dream of.
